Ok-Prompt · an MSX in your browser

Machine

Save states

A save keeps everything: memory, chips, cartridges, tape and disk where they are.

Region Speed System ROM

C-BIOS starts cartridges only. For MSX BASIC, load dumps of your own machines' ROMs (Gradiente Expert, Sharp Hotbit…). An MSX2 needs its main ROM and SUB-ROM: pick both files, or a zip. They stay in this browser; pick one above.

Disk drive

A disk drive needs the disk ROM of a real one (Philips, Sony, Panasonic, Brazilian…), 16K, from your own machine; it stays in this browser. With it, an MSX with MSX BASIC boots Disk BASIC or MSX-DOS from the disk.

Display

Smooth pixels Scanlines Curved glass Flicker Hum bar

Sound

Volume FM sound (MSX-MUSIC)

The YM2413 chip that FM-PAC cartridges and MSX2+ machines had. Games that know it play their FM music. Changing it restarts the MSX.

Controls

Keyboard

Arrow keys and Space work in most games.

No gamepad. Plug one in and press a button.

Joystick port 1

Or press ⌘V (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+V. Pasted lines go in as if typed, Enter after each: a BASIC listing becomes a program.

Printer

Nothing printed yet. LPRINT and LLIST print here.

Modem and AI board

Put ☎ Ok-Modem from the shelf into a slot. With MSX BASIC type CALL TERM; with C-BIOS it starts by itself. Then ATI lists the BBSes, ATDT 1 calls one, and ATDT DEEPSEEK calls the AI board: chat with DeepSeek or the Bastard Operator From Hell, or order a BASIC program that arrives on your tape.

DeepSeek API key (for the AI board)

No key yet.

How do I get a key?

Sign up at platform.deepseek.com.
Add a little credit under Top up: the API is pay as you go.
Create a key under API keys and paste it here. It stays in this browser and goes only to DeepSeek.
